Baseball is dead to me!!!!
It's been one week since watching the Mets blow game seven of the NLCS - down by two with two on and no outs in the bottom of the ninth - YOU BUNT the runners over and go for the tie! D'oh!!!!!
Anyway, I think its time to move on and what better way to do that than catch you up on all the exciting things going on at your brewpub!
Great American Beer Festival 2006 - Brewer Dave and Brewmaster Steve make it look easy as they go two for two by taking home the Silver Medal for their "Alt 45" beer. Which should be back on tap in 7-10 days, sounds like a good reason for a beer "tapping" party - stay tuned!
FYI - The Cambridge House is the only Connecticut brewpub or brewery to ever (yes ever) win two medals at the GABF - can't wait till next year!
FYI - Picozzi of Hartford's Rock Station WCCC's 106.9 came up with the name of our award winning beer "Alt 45" (of course after a few samples of the Alt the names just came rolling out).
The new hours - same as the old hours (sorry Mr. Daltry and Mr. Townsend) - starting on November 1st, 2006 the Cambridge House will be back to full lunch and dinner everyday except Mondays (when we are closed).
Holiday Party - As Marketing Mike once told me, men don't like holiday parties unless they're in a brewery - we've got you covered. Believe it or not, dates are booking fast, so give us a call soon to book your party now. Some of the unique things we offer are brewery tours, beer sampling tables and wine tasting events just to name a few.

"Wednesday Wine Night" is back - come in on Wednesday night and partake in our super special, two salads with our famous stout vinaigrette dressing, two complete dinner entrees, two homemade desserts and a bottle of Estrella wine ($20 value alone) for only $40. Finally, an economical reason to go out with a friend on Wednesday night.
New menu items - our new fall/winter menu will be out shortly which includes the return of our homemade chicken pot pie with a puff pastry lid, two new chicken entrees and Scotties home baked Mac & Cheese.
There will also be some wonderful additions including my personal favorite baked Macaroni & Cheese filled with Lobster meat, yes lobster - can you say comfort food? It's awesome baby!!!!
"Salad Dressing here" - ok, "Beer here" sounds a little better but there is beer in our salad dressing! Our stout vinaigrette salad dressing is now available at the Geisslers grocery store here in Granby and soon in Bloomfield. We are also talking to some other outlets so stay tuned and remember if the dressing is not available at your favorite grocery store, yell at the manager!!
Keep checking the home shopping network channel - you never know when you might see Marketing Mike pushing the salad dressing!?
Friday, Friday, Friday - tomorrow 10/27/07 Metacomet CD Release Party at the Cambridge House!! Our favorite local band - they cut their teeth here live on our stage during Open Mic Night - is releasing their debut CD - "Over Wild"

New Years Eve - it's never to early to think about the last party of the year - this year the Cambridge House will hold an "All Inclusive" semi formal event that includes top-shelf open bar (all liquors, wines and beers), great live music, sit down meal (4 course), late night buffet and of course a champaign toast. This will be a private event with tickets sold in advance to the first 150 people. And if you're a Mug club member you will receive a 10% discount. Keep checking the website for final details.
That's it for now, I think this has been very therapeutic but again you have to bunt when at home and down by two!!
