GABF Update #1
So far so good, only one minor injury (a swizzle stick in Jacks eye), one eyed Jacks really are wild!
Last night was the brewer's only party at the Wynkoop Brewery - and to say they went above and beyond the call of duty is an understatement!!! They shut down the entire place for us and had at least 25 different beers to taste and the food was awesome!!
This was by far the best party the Brewers Association has ever put together! Did I mention everything was FREE!!!
Brewer Dave showed up around 5:00 PM fresh off a trip from Oregon and Missoula MT following his band Wide Spread Panic (or something like that). At the time of this writing he is still asleep at the hotel.
Brewmaster Steve S. was in his glory with all his beer geek friends (I say that lovingly) talking about beer geek things - this is when Mr. Scanlon and I happen to mysteriously "lose" him. God speed Mr. Schmidt.
As for me, the night was very uneventful, stayed out of jail and limited my drunk text messages to only 2!
Tonight the main event begins, there are actually lines outside of the convention center right now hoping to get in to the sold out event. Plus the excitement of the Rockies game has this city electric!!
