St. Patty's Day Weekend
Before we get started, Steve asked me to introduce myself to all of you. This is your new newsletter writer, Meghan or as Mike called me "Manager Meg".
I think most you of you already know who I am since I've been practically living here since we opened, but for those of you who don't, I'm the girl always wandering around in a skirt. Since Mike left his office in the bar (Don't ask me why!), I am the "lucky" one that has gotten a lot of his jobs around here.
Ok, down to business.Happy St. Patty's Day!!!
At the Brew Pub, we decided to make this more than a one day celebration. Why limit such a great holiday to one day? It all begins Friday with a Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner Special, Green Jello Shots, Green Kolsch and Blue playing in the Lounge. Oh and of course, Scanlon's Red on tap.
All this will continue into Saturday with the addition of some craziness to honor the Irish! Colorado will be attempting to ride a High Wheel bicycle in the parking lot sometime between 2 and 3. This you have to see! I just hope he doesn't hurt himself too bad, because we need him serving you all beers for the rest of the night! At 4:00, we have a Celtic magician coming in. Don't ask what exactly a "Celtic Magician" is. You are going to have to come down and see for yourself (www.greenwolfmagic.com)! Starting at 9:00, we have Jim Harkins playing in the Lounge to finish off one of my favorite days of the year!
My second job in this letter is to remind you that we will have EVERY game of March Madness televised here!!! Go CCSU! Steve and Scott are a little crazy about their sports, so you can bet that you won't have to miss a game to have an IPA or a Kolsch down here. On that note, we are also doing the NCAA brackets here. They must be in by Thursday at noon. I realize not everyone has the time to stop in for a quick pint before then, so you can email them to me (megb@cbhbrew.com). If you can find time to get your $10 entry fee to me before March 31, I would be happy to enter your brackets in our pool.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
