March 2005

Perseverance - per-se-ver-ance n.

Steady persistence in adhering to a course of action, a belief, or a purpose; steadfastness -"The Cambridge House Team".

Patience - pa-tience n.

The capacity, quality, or fact of being patient; emphasizes calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay "You, the general public our new friends".

To boil down the past two years of hard work to these two simple words almost seems ridiculous, however sometimes, less is more. We at The Cambridge House thank you for your patience and support and look forward to meeting all of you very soon!

Please enjoy our first news letter of 2005!

Cheers,

Steve & Scott

Planning & Zoning update
Steve Boucino, owner of The Cambridge House Brew Pub, 357 Salmon Brook Street , appeared before the Commission to discuss changes to the approved site plan, for application known as Z-3-04. Mr. Boucino stated he had met with the Department of Transportation concerning the island along Salmon Brook Street . The DOT will allow the island to remain as installed but no lights or signs may be placed on it. The boulders will have to be removed from the island and only low-level plants or shrubs may be planted

The commission voted to approve the proposed modifications by a vote of 6 to 1. This issue is now behind us and we thank the Granby P & Z commission for their guidance and foresight and their favorable decision (well, we thank 6 of the 7 members).
