The Cambridge House Charity Committee & Community Pint Night
What is the Brewery Charity Committee? The Cambridge House Charity Committee is a group of eight staff members and managers who are elected by our senior staff. The Committee meets twice a year to review all requests for charitable contributions and to select recipients from among those requests.

Why a Charity Committee? Like many small businesses, the Brewery receives many requests for donations throughout the year. Although all these requests have merit, we simply cannot honor every request. The charity committee was formed for two purposes:

1. To approach the requests for contributions in an organized format.

2. To empower "The Cambridge House" staff by giving them a voice in the decision making process.

How is the Committee funded? In addition to monies that are normally budgeted for charitable contributions, the Committee's funds come from other specific fundraising promotions such as Community Pint Night.

How does Community Pint Night Work? It's simple. Every Tuesday night after five pm, for each pint of beer we sell, we place 25 into our Charity Committee's fund.

What criteria does the Committee use in its selection process? The Committee uses several criteria in its selection process: the merit of the request, impact on the community, overall need, and personal preferences of Committee members, among others.

Grand Opening Event
An invitation only event will take place one week prior to the official opening; friends and investors of the CBH keep a look out for your invitation.

Also, there will be a 2 nd grand opening party for those of you who have supported us throughout this venture! We look forward to this event and hope that you will all be able to attend.

That's all for now folks hope to see you next month!!!
