Mini Golf and The Full Monty???
Oxymoron, perhaps but who else can deliver a nine hole in-pub mini golf course and a naked mug club member (#113 - The Mighty Quinn) all in the same month!!
You guessed it - US That's who - The Cambridge House Brewpub of Torrington!!
Let me explain, tonight, tomorrow and next Friday The Warner Theatre presents "The Full Monty" on the main stage and one of our mug clubbers is in the performance and we couldn't be prouder!!
Be sure to check out the tee shirts they are wearing in the second act - yea, like thats what you'll be checking out!!!
Anyway Mr. Quinn, I hope its not too cold in there tonight and as Mr. Costanza once said "Shrinkage" - break a leg my friend!!!
CBH Mini - Golf Tournament to be held 2/27/10:
What, you never played mini golf before in a brewpub? Me neither, but let's check this one off the bucket list together!
On Saturday Feb 27th we - with the help of "Drunken Penguin Sports" will be hosting the first ever CBH Mini Golf Open inside the pub!!!
From 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM there will be nine challenging holes with a total par of 21.
$10 is the cost to play a round and it includes a CBH pint! We will have prizes for the individual best score and team best score.
Feel free to bring your own putter (no pun intended mug #113)!
A portion of the proceeds will go toward our St. Baldrick's Fundraiser to be held in March 2010.
I think the signature hole is #6 playing down the steps from the mezz area and it's called "Falling Down Drunk", however, my personal favorite is hole #8 "Ida Blows" in reference to the hurricane of course (not our pain in the butt neighbor)!
And for the folks in Granby, maybe a little wager might be in order if you make the trip down - Vito I'm talking to you!!!!
